Terms of Service

These terms cover how you and Jeanine work together. By using Jeanine, you agree to them. If you don't, please stop using the service.

What Jeanine is

Jeanine is a personal AI assistant available through connected channels such as Telegram, the Jeanine website, and supported apps. It helps you track daily life — food, money, schedule, reminders, travel plans, lists — and stores this information so future conversations have context. Jeanine is operated by Straybot, an independent builder.

Your account

Your Jeanine account is created with an email address and authentication identity. Telegram and future supported apps are channels attached to that account, not the account owner. You are responsible for securing your Jeanine login and any connected channel accounts. Someone with access to a connected channel may be able to see messages delivered through that channel.

How you agree to use it

• Use Jeanine for its intended purpose — your own life, your own decisions.
• Don't use Jeanine to harm others, to harass, to impersonate, or to break the law.
• Don't attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the underlying systems.
• Don't feed Jeanine third-party data you don't have the right to share.
• If you connect Google Calendar or similar services, only connect accounts you own.

What Jeanine is not

Jeanine can help you think, plan, track, and remember. She can suggest, summarize, and nudge. She is not a substitute for qualified professional judgment.

Your content

Everything you log stays yours. Straybot holds a limited license to process your content strictly to provide the service — read it back to you, feed it into Jeanine's responses, store it for your own future reference. Straybot does not claim ownership of what you share.

Third-party services

Jeanine relies on services such as Supabase, Fly.io, Telegram, private inference providers, Google Calendar, package tracking, travel search, and others to do its job. Your use of connected services is subject to their own terms. If one of them goes down or changes, parts of Jeanine may stop working until fixed.

Availability

Jeanine is provided as-is and as-available. We do our best to keep her up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, upstream outages, or hardware issues may interrupt availability.

No warranty

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Jeanine is provided without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Straybot and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Jeanine, even if advised of the possibility. Total aggregate liability, for any claim, is limited to the amount you paid for Jeanine in the 12 months before the claim — which, if you are using Jeanine for free, is zero.

Termination

You can stop using Jeanine at any time. If you want your data deleted, email crew@straybot.com. Straybot may also suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, break these terms, or threaten the safety of the system or other users.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top will update and we'll notify active users where reasonable. Continuing to use Jeanine after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator's place of business. Disputes will be resolved by good-faith conversation first, and by the appropriate courts if that fails.
